About Me

First, welcome to my site. I am Shane... I am a meat popsicle (or a dumbass cracker) living in the North Texas area. I haven't lived here my whole life though. I was born in Miami, FL in 1974...yeah... i'm getting older! I lived in Miami for the first couple of years of my life, before moving to Phoenix AZ, where I lived for a couple of years. Then I moved to somewhere in Texas (Hempstead or Katy, I think) - I will have to check with the Mom about the exact whereabouts. After Texas, I returned to Arizona, then up to New Jersey, back to Florida, then New Jersey again. Once I was old enough to decide where I was going to live (18), I loaded up my orange 1973 International Scout II and moved to Conroe TX. Since then, I have lived in different parts of Texas and will only leave North Texas to live in Georgia.

I have two children (Ian and Zac). Ian also has a blog, here. I have two Pit Bulls, Tank and Foxxy Cleopatra (guess which one I named) and two cats, Turbo, and Aegis.

I have an obsessive personality and wear white jackets a lot. If something peaks my interest, I do everything I can to learn about it. When I was younger, it was a lot of reading (or looking at pictures). Now, it's a lot of internet how-to videos, websites and interest groups. I still read books, but only those that have something to teach me. I have learned a whole lot about Web Development, Photography, Auto and Diesel Mechanics, and Sales. That sort of makes me sound like a Jack-of-all-Trades, which I don't feel is accurate. I feel proficient enough in a hobby when I am to the point where I could take a job doing it and not miss a beat.

I work as a Product Implementation Specialist (build smaller websites inside a much larger one) for an insurance enrollment company; and I shoot Weddings, Engagements, Events, Portraits, Cars, Motorcycles, Models, Seniors, and whatever else I can see through a viewfinder.
